The Notice of Race of the 32 Copa del Rey Mapfre has been published and this year comes back to the first week of August. In 2012 the regatta was moved forward to the third week of July to avoid clashing with London’s Olympic Games.

This year presents a series of novelties, the Melges 32 returns and the cruising class will give room to the ORC rating system and leave the RI rating system behind.

The 32 Copa del Rey Mapfre is also the 2013 European Championship for the X-35 class and is an event included in the exclusive 52 Super Series.

This year the Platu 25 one design class is added to the traditional fleet of one design classes of the Copa del Rey, composed by the J80, X35, Soto 40 and Melges 32.
